高血圧の基準値にふりまわされている？

いいニュースです。

「健康」基準、緩めます血圧・肥満度など、学会見直し

【血圧mmHg：収縮期血圧／拡張期血圧】
現行の判別値（異常なし）：130／85
↓
新しい基準値：88~147／51~94

この基準が正式に決定されると
来年4月にも施行されるとのこと。

収縮期血圧が「145mmHg」で
これまでだと高血圧の薬を服用を勧められていた人でも
「正常です」となり、薬が不要の人も出てくる。

薬に頼りたくない人で
現在、高血圧の服薬を勧められている人にはいい情報です。

但し、既に薬を服用しており
身体が薬にに依存してしまっている場合は
急な断薬は別のリスクがあるので注意が必要です。

製薬会社の思惑とは逆に
健保連は医療費を抑制して欲しいからでしょうか。

147／94は両者の妥協点だったのか？

そもそも高血圧の基準値はあくまで基準値であり、
根拠なく数値が決められたきたようです。

［特に高血圧の基準値「操作」は目に余ります。
1998年の厚生省全国調査の基準値は160／95以上でした。
ところが2000年に、はっきりとした理由もなく
140／90に引き下げられました。
98年の基準値を当てはめると、高血圧の日本人は1600万人、
それが新基準値では、3700万人もが高血圧になってしましました。］

薬には頼りたくないと思っている人でも
検査をして「異常です」と言われると
自己判断で薬の服用を断るのは難しいです。

今は情報が簡単に手に入る時代なので
検査や基準値のことを調べれば正しい決断ができる
いい時代になりました。
（情報が多い分、選択は難しいですが。。。）
